New York City's Commercial Waste Zones

On November 20, 2019, Mayor de Blasio passed LL199 of 2019, creating Commercial Waste Zones in NYC. The bill restructures waste collection by dividing the city into 20 zones, each serviced by up to three competitively selected waste collectors. It aims to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and cleanliness in waste management, while maintaining competition and promoting responsible practices among haulers.

Confidently Navigate New Compliance Laws

New York City Department of Sanitation has set dozens of rules regulating waste collection that apply to all NYC businesses. We’ve collected these rules in an easy to use form.
